Rainshift Phantom Syndicate is a two-person laser engraving shop born in the Pacific Northwest car scene — and built to be everything that scene was missing. We uplift, not outshine. Every build matters, every newcomer gets a welcome, and nobody gets gatekept. That's the whole business model.
Phantoms in the rain.
Rainshift Phantom Syndicate was founded in November 2025 by Leland and Will in Arlington, Washington, with deep PNW pride. Between them came years in the car scene — clubs, shows, builds, the whole life. And over those years they saw the cracks: clout chasing, ego battles, and a real lack of support for the people just starting out.
So they became the phantoms — shifting through the dark and the rain to build something different. A syndicate of genuine enthusiasts, united by passion, loyalty, and the belief that every build matters. We celebrate each other's wins and reach beyond the garage.
Then, in December 2025, a laser showed up — and the crew found its craft. What started as two friends engraving for the scene became Rainshift the shop: the same values, now with the smell of freshly burned wood and metal. If you can dream it, we'll help you hold it.

Rainshift is deliberately small — when you work with us, you work with the people on this page. No call center, no ticket queue, no attitude.
Leland
Runs the lasers like a science experiment — always testing a new material, a new setting, a new way to make a piece better than the last one. Fifteen years in the car scene, including time as vice president of two clubs, taught him exactly what this community deserves. Spends his days around cars and his nights engraving them onto everything else.
Will
The people person — sales, relationships, and making sure every customer actually loves what they take home. If you've talked to Rainshift, you've probably talked to Will. He ran a club of his own back in the day and brings the same energy here: show up for people, every single time.
Flicker
Our newest employee — 1,738 years old, unpaid, and the hardest-working ghost in the engraving business. Supervises every piece from his post by the laser, guards the shop, and takes his job extremely seriously. Any mistakes are above his pay grade. He's unpaid.

More than a shop.
The long game was never just selling engraved things. Rainshift exists to erase the stigma around car culture — by mentoring youth, teaching car basics, and empowering newcomers. From oil changes to spark plugs, we show that cars aren't intimidating. They're liberating.
We welcome every build — from bone-stock dailies to wild customs, imports, and classics. We're for the people who feel the magic of cars, whatever background they come from and whatever they drive.
Our long-term goal: grow from a local crew into a community-powered movement — partnering with local churches and businesses to support underprivileged families with food, clothes, toys, and positive role models. Toy drives, fundraisers, and someday a car club of our own, backed by the business and built to give back. Rainshift is everything the car scene's been missing — and we're just getting started.
